Why “Thee?”
We’ve grown. Some folks wonder why we use “Thee” Draper Village instead of where we began with “The Draper Village”. That’s a great question!
Throughout its history, the Draper Mercantile and the surrounding buildings have always belonged to the community. This little Village was the heart of the community more than 150 years ago. That will always be its highest purpose, your gathering place.
We use “Thee” to communicate a sense of “being and belonging”. By simply being here – by choosing to spend time and make memories, you have become a part of The Village story.
It’s more than just a place for you to visit. It’s a place that belongs to you. Most importantly, it’s a place where you can feel that you belong.
“Thee Draper Village” is our way of keeping our most heartfelt mission in mind – You. This Village belongs to everyone who feels drawn to it. We are glad you are here. Thank you for coming. We hope you feel that warm sense of true “belonging” that can only come from the heart.
